The Tyler Cochrane Band Opens Saturday at the Flinton Jamboree.
Born in Cobourg, April 1992, I was raised on a hobby farm outside of town. I’m the fifth generation of Cochranes to farm there. My mother’s side of the family is from the Schutt area, surrounded by bluegrass and country musicians. I would spend many summers listening to family and friends playing and singing whenever we would get together.
In January of 2012, I was in a car accident that left me with severe injuries so I could no longer uphold full time jobs, so I fill most of my time pursuing a dream of being a musician, and coaching kids how to wrestle.
I had a friend to play music with and quickly reached out to more people online and ended up creating the band “County Line.” After things with that band fell apart, I continued to chase my dreams, following influences like Jamey Johnson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Sturgill Simpson, Whitey Morgan, etc…
Lately I’ve been working with musicians like Clayton Yates, Vince Ruttan, and Troy Howard. Together we are, The Tyler Cochrane Band.
