Near the Flinton Jamboree Site – New County Trail System!

Did you know a new County Forest Trail system is being built behind the Jamboree site in Flinton? The new trail system is for non-motorized adventure – cycling and hiking . The trailhead is immediately behind the RV parking area.

L&A County’s brand new County Forest Trails are almost ready! Join us at Trail Building Day in Flinton on Saturday, June 22nd from 8:30am – 1pm. We ask that you bring along your rakes, shovels, and branch clippers and help us put the finishing touches on about 6 kilometres of newly-constructed trails that are perfect for hiking and mountain biking.

Meet outside in the parking lot at the Addington Highlands Municipal Office (72 Edward Street, Flinton)  Enjoy coffee and treats from Addison’s Restaurant and learn about this new initiative happening in the Lennox & Addington County Forest. At the end of the day enjoy a free slice from Pine Grove Pizza.

One of the first trails!

After the event is over, we encourage you to bring your hiking boots and bikes and enjoy the trails! For more information click here or call 613-354-4883 ext. 3271.
